The renewable energy transformation needs a strong workforce of renewable energy professionals and practitioners. The forum will include presentations on:
• Developing Quality Solar Energy Training for Solar Technicians; and
• First hand experiences in conducting training for solar technicians and building capacity in training globally
Geoff Stapleton and Johnny Weiss have both been involved with promoting quality solar energy training for solar technicians since the early 1990’s. Both first started in their individual countries, Australia and United States of America (USA). However, both expanded their services into the global arena. Since the late 1990’s Mr Stapleton has conducted training courses in Asia, Africa and Pacific while Mr Weiss has been operating in Latin America, Middle East and Africa.
Mr Stapleton and Mr Weiss are also promoters of quality renewable energy training frameworks and actively work with in-country partners and organisations to help build capacity within those countries.
The presentations will be followed by a discussion session allowing the audience to provide examples of their experience and/or ask questions
